Metal chimney liners, usually made of stainless steel, are primarily used to upgrade and repair existing chimneys. Stainless chimney liner systems are U.L. tested and listed. Stainless steel is suitable for wood burning, gas, or oil applications. It is manufacturer recommended that high-temperature insulation be used in conjunction with the chimney liners for safety and performance considerations when burning wood.
