Use the appliance manufacturer's specified vent size.
Gas/oil systems need additional vent-table inputs. This version will route those jobs to sizing assistance instead of guessing from the appliance outlet.
2. Measure the chimney
Enter flue width and depth in inches (in). Enter liner length in feet.
3. Choose the installation configuration
Typical inserts/vertical connections use a basic kit. Side-wall appliance connections commonly use a tee kit.
Important: This is a sizing and physical-fit aid, not final engineering approval. Follow the appliance manufacturer's venting instructions, liner manufacturer's listing/installation instructions, and locally adopted code. Do not downsize an appliance vent unless those requirements specifically permit it.
Masonry fireplace mode uses the prescriptive round-flue ratio of 1/12 of the fireplace opening area. Appliance mode starts from the appliance connector area. Physical fit is an estimate and does not account for hidden offsets, mortar intrusion, tile misalignment, or field conditions.
