If you have a perfectly straight masonry chimney and burn solid fuels, a rigid lining system is the ultimate upgrade for your home. Designed specifically for wood-burning stoves, fireplace inserts, and pellet appliances, our 304L Rigid Chimney Liner Kit provides unmatched draft efficiency and structural integrity. Because solid fuels do not produce the highly acidic exhaust found in gas or oil systems, this 304L stainless steel kit offers a highly durable, cost-effective alternative to our 316L systems, saving you money without sacrificing safety.
This complete kit takes the guesswork out of your installation. It includes every premium component required for a top-to-bottom reline:
304L Stainless Steel Rigid Pipes: 24-gauge, seam-welded rigid sections that form a perfectly smooth interior flue.
304L Rigid Tee with 10" Snout & Cleanout Cap: An OD (Outside Diameter) engineered tee that bridges your horizontal stove pipe to your vertical chimney liner.
18-Gauge 304 Stainless Steel Top Plate (13" x 13"): A heavy-duty baseplate to securely seal the top of your masonry chimney crown.
304 Stainless Steel Support Clamp: Locks onto the top plate to support the full weight of your vertical rigid pipes.
304 Stainless Steel Storm Collar: Deflects rain and moisture away from the top plate collar.
304 Stainless Steel Rain Cap: Keeps rain, snow, and wildlife out of your newly installed flue.
Superior Draft & Less Creosote: The smooth, seam-welded interior walls of rigid pipe create zero drag. This translates to a faster, hotter draft and significantly less creosote buildup compared to corrugated flexible liners.
Optimized for Solid Fuels: 304L stainless steel easily handles the extreme heat and standard creosote associated with burning wood and pellets. (Note: If you burn gas, oil, or coal, you must upgrade to our 316L kit).
Commercial-Grade Durability: Built standard with thick, 24-gauge steel that resists crushing and warping over decades of use. (22-gauge and 18-gauge thicknesses are available; call 1-877-486-8119 for a custom quote).
Sizing - The "2-Inch Rule": Because rigid pipes connect via slip-joints (sliding inside one another), you lose exactly 2 inches of length at every connection. Always factor in a 2" loss per section of pipe when calculating the total height of your chimney.
Assembly - Direction Matters: When assembling your rigid pipes, the crimped (male) end must always point downward toward the stove. This ensures any creosote or moisture runs down the inside of the pipe walls and into the cleanout tee, rather than leaking out of the joints.
Maintenance - Use Polypropylene: To protect your investment, we strongly recommend sweeping this liner with a polypropylene chimney brush. Metal wire brushes are excessively abrasive and will scratch the interior stainless steel, making it harder to clean in the future.
Can I use a rigid liner kit in a chimney with bends or offsets? No. Rigid chimney liners have zero flex. If your masonry chimney has a bend, an offset, or a narrowing in the flue, you must use a flexible chimney liner kit to navigate those obstacles safely.
Why choose the 304L Kit instead of the 316L Kit? It comes down to your fuel type and your budget. 316L contains molybdenum to resist the acidic corrosion caused by gas and oil exhaust. If you are only burning solid fuels like wood or pellets, that acidic corrosion isn't present, meaning the 304L kit will perform flawlessly while saving you money.
