Water is the number one enemy of your masonry chimney. A deteriorating chimney crown can lead to thousands of dollars in water damage, spalling bricks, and interior leaks. Our Custom Multi-Flue Chimney Cap with an integrated skirt is the ultimate defense. By covering your entire chimney top—flues and crown included—this cap stops water penetration, prevents animal entry, and actively improves your drafting efficiency.
Why This Cap is the Best Defense for Your Chimney:
Crown-Protecting Skirt: The integrated base skirt completely covers the concrete chimney crown, shedding water away from vulnerable micro-cracks before freeze-thaw cycles can destroy your masonry.
Severe Weather Durability: Choose between heavy-duty 24-gauge 304 stainless steel or timeless architectural copper. Built to outlast the harshest winter storms without ever rusting.
Draft-Enhancing Design: Our engineered overhangs and screening actively block heavy winds, preventing dangerous downdrafts and smoke backup inside your living space.
Precision Custom Fit: We don't sell "close enough." Every cap is fabricated to your exact measurements (skirt length, overhang, screen height) for a flawless, weatherproof installation.
Lifetime Warranty: We stand behind our American-made craftsmanship. Your cap is guaranteed against materials and workmanship defects for life.
When protecting a multi-flue chimney, standard top-mount caps simply aren't enough. They protect the flue opening, but leave the flat concrete crown completely exposed to rain, snow, and ice. Over time, that concrete cracks, allowing water to seep into the brickwork. Our skirted multi-flue cap solves this entirely by acting like an umbrella for the entire top of your chimney structure.
While big-box retailers and mass-market competitors offer generic, one-size-fits-all galvanized caps that require constant replacement, our caps are strictly built from premium 24-gauge 304 stainless steel or pure copper. You get a thicker, heavier, and substantially more rigid cap that won't warp in high winds or rust after a single season. Plus, with customizable options like built-in drip edges and high-temperature powder coating, you can match your home's aesthetic while securing a lifetime of structural protection.

When measuring your chimney for a skirted cap, always measure the absolute outside dimensions of the top row of brick (the chimney chase), not just the concrete crown. Ensure you account for any corbelling (bricks that step out). Before installing the new cap, we highly recommend brushing a high-quality crown sealant over your existing concrete to lock out moisture permanently before sealing the new metal skirt over top.
How do I determine the correct skirt length for my chimney? Your skirt length should be long enough to completely cover your concrete chimney crown and overlap the top row of bricks by at least 1 inch. This ensures that water drips down past the vulnerable mortar joint where the crown meets the brick.
Why should I choose 304 Stainless Steel over Galvanized steel? Galvanized steel is simply steel dipped in a thin layer of zinc. The acidic nature of wood smoke and harsh weather will eat through that coating quickly, leading to ugly rust stains running down your brickwork. 304 Stainless Steel is inherently rust-proof through the entire alloy, meaning it will look pristine for decades.
Can I get the cap painted to match my roof? Yes! We offer professional, high-heat powder coating in several colors (including Dusty Grey, Sepia Brown, Jet Black, and Copper Brown) to seamlessly match your home's exterior while providing an extra layer of durability.
