Unlike standard flat caps that allow water to pool, our Custom Hip and Ridge Multi-Flue Chimney Cap can be configured with a standard steep 10/12 pitch or customized pitch between 3/12 and 12/12. This customized architectural design perfectly matches the look of your home while keeping heavy rain, ice and snow out of your chimney flue. Custom designed for masonry chimneys, the integrated skirt with widths up to 7 inches is engineered to overlap your chimney’s crown, protecting the brickwork from water intrusion, freeze-thaw damage, and expensive structural deterioration. Easily attaching to the outside of the chimney with masonry screws it installs quickly.

Heavy-Duty Weather & Pest Defense: The reinforced stainless steel mesh screen effectively blocks out raccoons, birds, squirrels, and leaves, while preventing dangerous hot embers from escaping onto your roof.

Integrated Skirt & Drip Edge: Easily attaches to the outside of your chimney rather than the crown, diverting water straight off the sides and away from your masonry.
Custom-Built for Your Home: We don't believe in "one size fits all." With custom screen heights ranging from 8" to 16", we have every option available to ensure you maintain the recommended 6-inch minimum clearance from chimney flue to lid for optimal fireplace drafting.

How to Measure & Install Your Outside Mount Skirt Cap | Installing a skirted multi-flue cap is a straightforward DIY project for most homeowners or local handymen.
  1. Measuring: Measure the outside length and width of your brick chimney. Pro Tip: we recommend adding 1/8" to 1/4" to your final measurements to account for uneven brickwork or mortar joints.
  2. Sizing the Screen: Ensure the screen height you select leaves at least 6 inches of clearance between the top of your highest flue tile and the cap's lid to prevent draft restrictions. (Refer to our pitch table below for exact height decreases based on your overhang).

As the Hip and Ridge Pitch (w/Std. Overhang) increases, it will decrease the height of the screen.

Example: A 3/12 Pitch on a Hip and Ridge Multi Flue will decrease the screen height by .908”.
