What is a Knockdown-Style Multi Flue Hinged Chimney Cap?

Knockdown style multi flue hinged chimney caps are designed with easy assembly and installation in mind while protecting your chimney and flue openings from rain, snow, pests and nesting birds. These multi flue caps have a top mount design that will easily attach to the top of the chimney crown or brick with adhesive and tapcon masonry screws (included with each cap). When its time for maintainace, the lid is removable for easy acess to your flue.

Sizing and Top-Mount Installation

• How to Measure: Measure the outside dimension of your chimney. You must subtract 3 inches from both the total length and the total width measurements. This accounts for the 1.5-inch hinged mounting flanges that sit on the crown.
• Draft Clearance Requirement: A recomended minimum clearance of 6 inches between the top of your highest flue tile and the cap's lid to ensure proper exhaust drafting. We offer four different screen heights to accommodate this.
• Mounting Tips: This is a top-mount cap. You will attach the fold-down hinged mounting strips directly to the top of the chimney crown or brick using the included chimney top adhesive and Tapcon masonry screws.
